Calvary Missionary Basic School

Calvary Missionary Basic School opens its doors in September 1986. The motto of this school states “WITH GOD FIRST, WE WILL EXCEL”. The school caters for children within the environs and beyond as its early childhood program seeks to uplift the standard of these early students for a better future. Calvary Missionary Basic School’s emphasis is on the development of numeracy, phonetic and reading skills, diction, environmental and social awareness and other areas of stimulation.

Calvary Basic school has enrolled up to two hundred in a single academic year. The school continues to do well in the Jamaican Cultural Development Commission’s festival of Arts where they got a number of medals in speech music and dance. Field trips and open day activities are but two of the many activities on the calendar and these are always well organized and done well.

Calvary Missionary Basic School is sponsored by our own Mrs. Iroy Kirby and its board is chaired by Mr. Carl Murray. Calvary Missionary Church has a very proud legacy and with that in mind it continues with all those who are a part of it various sectors moving in one direction and moving from strength to strength.
